RAW

This is a fun and challenging project we did in collaboration with Hasara, a PhD candidate, a wife and never a model.

Creative vision behind this project pretty much sums up by the title itself. We wanted to bring out the 'RAW' human emotions, not just what appears on the surface, but what's hidden deep down.

We haven't used any makeup or done any styling to the hair (except for a bit of lipstick to highlight our message). This is as raw as it can get. We wanted to challenge the conventional beauty standards and still bring out an aesthetically pleasing portrayal.

If you observe closely and patiently, you might get a glimpse of the emotional rollercoaster a modern day woman has to go through in her life and yet keep up a 'good enough' appearance for the society just not to be ostracised by her mere mortal shortcomings.

Vulnerability, Rage, Confidence, Hardships, Retribution, Innocence, Hope, Revelation... aren't we all human.
